During the 66th sports meeting of Hangzhou No.2 High School on Nov 1, a new record of the women's 800-meter race was set by a sophomore.

Cai Chenyu, the record-setter, finished the race in 2 minutes, 25 seconds, which was around 7 seconds faster than the previous record set 22 years ago. She is now the school record holder of both women's 800-meter race and 1500-meter race.

Cai Chenyu has started professional running training since grade five in primary school. She is also regarded as a curve wrecker at school.
