Students from Hangzhou Xuejun High School won the champion at the 44th International Collegiate Programming Contest Asia Shanghai Regional Contest, which was concluded in Shanghai on Nov.24. The contest was the top programming contest for college students in Asia. A total of 336 teams participated in the contest, most of whom were from top universities in addition to 13 teams from middle schools. The top four teams were all from middle schools, among which Hangzhou Xuejun High School and Hangzhou No.2 High School topped at the contest. The contest was held at Shanghai University, and the competitors need to complete five questions within five hours. The grades were upgraded in real-time on the screen on the scene. "During the contest, two teams from Xuejun High School were still at the leading position," said Xu Xianyou, the informatics coach from Xuejun High School. Two teams from Hangzhou Xuejun High School participated in the contest with three students from grade 2 and three students from grade 3. Five students have won the gold medals of the National Olympiad in Informatics in Provinces and were admitted into Tsinghua University in advance. |
