For people who live far away from metro stations, public transport could be extended to cover the "last mile" between their doorsteps and metro stations. To better serve the local residents, Hangzhou Traffic Police has teamed up with Hangzhou Public Transport Group and Didi Chuxing Technology to launch a reservation service of public transport in the pilot stations of North Sandun and Zhuantang. By using Mini-program of “Didi Dynamic Bus (滴滴动态公交)” on Wechat, passengers can reserve a bus to pick them at the designated stations nearby heading to the nearest bus station. You have to confirm the departure time and the number of passengers, and then send the bus-pooling request. Afterward, the procedure resembles Didi's carpooling service, as you know. In addition to reducing the traffic accidents from E-bike in the city, Hangzhou Public Transport Group has figured out a way that advocates resource sharing which is a benefit for citizens. The trial has been put into operation for one week and the total number of passengers has reached 3,251. Five commuting lines have been running in the trial run. They are: Sandun-Future Science Town; Future Science Town- Sandun; Zhuantang- Shuichengqiao Metro Station; Shuichengqiao Metro Station- ZhuanTang; Dushiyangguang- Baiyang Metro Station; Baiyang Metro Station- DuShiYangGuang; Haishanghai- Baiyang Metro Station; Baiyang Metro Station-Haishanghai; Yunheting- Shuichengqiao Metro Station; Shuichengqiao Metro Station- Yunheting; |
