Recently, Mu Xin Valleyin the Qiandao Lake Scenic Area in Chun'an County has ushered in the best season of the year. The metasequoia forest in the valley has changed from emerald green to deep yellow in early winter and the stunning scenery attracts tourists fromall over the country. Mu Xin Valley is located on the Pai Ling Peninsula in the centerof Qiandao Lake. It covers an area of247.1 acresand has more than 300 kinds of plants, including the metasequoia, known as the living fossil of the plant and one of the national first-level protected plants. This metasequoiaforest has a total area of more than 16.5 acres, which is one of the largest artificial metasequoia forests in Hangzhou area and even in Zhejiang province. The colorful scenery turns it into a natural gallery. |
