The Yue Fei Temple, commonly known in Chinese as Yuewang Templeand located near the West Lakein central Hangzhou, is a temple with a history of 800 years built in honour of Yue Fei, a general of the Southern Song dynasty. To protect the cultural relics and buildings, the Management office of Yue Fei Templestartsthe maintenance project ofthe Temple from Nov20, which is expected to last for 300 days. Most ofthe existingbuildingsin Yue Fei Templewere built in the Qing dynasty with important historical, cultural and artistic value. It was announced by the State Council in 1961 as one of the first batch of national key cultural relics protection units. During the project, the Temple opens in an orderly manner with safety bulletin boards set up on the construction site . |
