Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, plans to build the World Love Culture Park nearWest Lake, according to an announcement made at a conference on Nov 18. The park, which is expected to cover an area of more than 214 hectares, is themed around love stories and culture in Hangzhou and other parts of the world. Seen from above, the park is designed to resemble a butterfly, recallingthelegendary Chineselove story between Liang Shanbo and Zhu Yingtai. It is believed that their souls morphed into butterflies and they reunited upon their untimely deaths. The park will be completed before the2022 Hangzhou Asian Games. |
