Flowers are flourishing in succession like a piece of brocade in Hangzhou's Qiantang New Area as temperatures rise recently. Cherry trees alongside the No.6 Street, Meilin Avenue, and those growing at the Yi Le Yuan Park(怡乐园) are in full bloom. These cherry trees, known as Yoshino cherry with white or pale pink petals, are one of the most popular and widely cultivated flowering cherries in Hangzhou. You can also find the crabapples by the Qunhuan River, No.2 Binjaing Road, Gaosha Hequ Park, or at the West Gaojiao Park with abundant, fragrant pink flowers. The twigs will flutter in the breeze like a dancing girl. The Chinese redbuds, with pink or milky white flowers, are bloomy alongside the Riverside Avenue (Xuelin Street-Xueyuan Street) and Gaosha Channel(高沙渠). Walking through the East Gaojiao Park, West Gaojiao Park, as well as the Gaosha Channel, spiraea thunbergii can be found in full bloom. The flowers are white, born in abundance, and look like clouds in the branches. |
