A unique cherry tree stands with green blossoms currently in full bloom at the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon scenic area of the West Lake. It is a precious and rare species that is regarded as the "panda" of the cherry species.

The tree itself is quite elusive, as the distinctive green flowers are often mistaken for fresh new leaves from a distance. The flowers are green at the beginning, gradually becoming pale, and finally colored red in its center.

Before May 1, visitors can enjoy free admission to the Three Pools Mirroring the Moon to have a close look at the "panda" cherry blossom tree.
