It is time to pick and eat persimmons! Seven thousand persimmons enter their phase of maturation with the 15th Xixi Persimmon Festival held at Hongyuan of Xixi Wetland from Sept. 21 to Oct. 20. 

The ripe fruit of the cultivated strains ranges from glossy light yellow-orange to dark red-orange depending on the species and variety. Persimmons have higher levels of dietary fiber and some dietary minerals.

Besides, 2019 Hangzhou Xixi Autumn Flower & Butterfly Exhibition also kicked off on Sept.21. Thousands of colorful butterflies are flying over the Green Causeway of the wetland. Moreover, hundreds of butterfly specimens are also on display at the exhibition.

A new way of appreciating the Xixi Wetland National Park has been applied recently. A sightseeing helium balloon will lift you to 150-meter-high in the sky and get a bird's-eye view of the park.
