You can see mandarin ducks, cormorants, wild ducks, European herring gulls, egrets, grey herons, and other wild water birds on the cold, windy surface of West Lake these days. Some are having a rest in groups, some searching for food individually, some chasing and playing with others, while some flying in flocks. Altogether they make the winter more vivid.
