The midsummer every year witnesses the most robust growth of lotuses. The wonderful scene described as “the emerald lotus leaves reach as far as where water and skies meet” appears in a number of small or large lotus ponds in regions south of the Yangtze River.

    The 10th Hangzhou West Lake • Zhuji Hometown of Xishi Lotuy Fair comes as scheduled. The Lotus Festival lasting from July 20 to August 30 is the grandest event of enjoying lotus flowers in regions south of the Yangtze River every year.
