Meicheng town, adorned with beautiful scenery and a long history, is where the ancient Yanzhou city is located.

To promote the construction of the ancient town and reproduce the history, a group of archaeologists from Hangzhou Bureau of Gardening and Cultural Relics embarked on a journey to explore historic evidence for the protection of the town.

To date, the archaeological staff have collected 3,021 pieces of stone parts of the ancient archway and explored a 2,757-square-meter ancient water system, providing a historical proof for the preservation of the ancient town. [Photo/Xinhua]
