The Sponsors' Club of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 was established here on Sunday, with Zhejiang Geely Holding Group, appointed the first rotating sponsor in the chair. Apart from Geely, who became the first official partner of Hangzhou 2022 in April 2019, seven other official partners Alibaba, Alipay, China Telecom, China Mobile, ICBC, 361sport and Zhejiang Loong Airlines, and two official suppliers Robam and Monalisa comprise the Sponsors Club. Olympic Council of Asian director General Husain Al-Musallam congratulated on the establishment of the Club through video. "The establishment of the Sponsors' Club of the 19th Asian Games Hangzhou 2022 will able sponsors at different levels gain in-depth knowledge of the Games, promote its brand and product," he said. Mao Genhong, deputy secretary-general of the Hangzhou 2022 Organizing Committee, expressed hope that members of the Club will take advantage of this platform to cooperate with each other and jointly contribute to the success of the Games. "Hangzhou 2022 is not only a sports extravaganza but an excellent platform for enterprises to present themselves. The reason we establish this Sponsors' Club is that we hope to promote information sharing, communication and cooperation between the sponsors, to build a new model for sports marketing and create a win-win situation for Hangzhou 2022 and its sponsors," Mao noted. Geely's president An Conghui vowed to contribute to a smart Games with its technology and show the world the vigor of Chinese brands. Newly-launched Geely Preface will be the official vehicle for Hangzhou 2022, and according to Yang Xueliang, vice president of Geely Auto, autopilot cars could possibly be used as shuffle buses when the Games is held in September 2022. According to the organizers, the Sponsors' Club will hold regular activities including venue inspection, games watching and themed forum. |
