Omnibus film My People, My Homeland topped the China box office over the National Day weekend (October 2-4).

The film is executive produced by Zhang Yimou and has segments directed by Ning Hao, Xu Zheng, and Chen Sicheng, among other directors. In the movie, five short stories about ordinary people in different cities and villages are told.

One of the stories is meant as a tribute to the country's hardworking village teachers. This part was filmed in Hangzhou's Chun'an County, among which a touching moment was shot at the Fuwen Township Center Primary School.

The school was hailed as the most beautiful village school. The reconstruction of the school started in 2018 and the new schoolhouse came into use in 2019. The campus is open to the public during the daytime of weekends.
