An exhibition of the cultural heritages from the Qing royal palace is now on at China National Silk Museum located in Hangzhou. It is themed by the achievements made in restoring the clothing and accessories for Empress Dowage Cixi and Concubine Rong in the Eastern Tomb of the Qing Dynasty. The garments on show are the restored fine clothing and related silk accecessories excavated in the tomb. The one that draws much attention from visitors is a colored women's imperial robe made of Huangjiang embroidery and decorated with five blessings and Chinese character "佛" . Another significant exhibition item, from the underground palace of the tomb, is also well worth seeing. |
