Recently, volume I and volume II of the picture album “Fight against the Epidemic: Cartoonists from Tongxiang are Doing their Best” edited by Tongxiang Cartoonists Society was published. This picture album is the first anti-epidemic cartoon book published in Zhejiang Province.

On January 26, Tongxiang Cartoonist Society formed an “Anti-epidemic cartoon creation group of Tongxiang”, calling on all the members of the society to join this special battle in such a unique artistic form of the cartoon with their writings.

Shortly after the formation of the group, Mr. Zhu Rongyao, president of Tongxiang Cartoonist Society, posted in the group the first cartoon work “Enthusiastically Got Involved in the Battle Against the Epidemic: The Most Outstanding Nurse Zhong Yue”.

After Zhu Rongyao, 89 members have quickly contributed their works. So far, over 100 persons have participated in the creation of cartoon works. This figure has far exceeded the total number of members of society.

Among the people who have joined cartoon work creation are also personnel in the front line of battle against the epidemic.

“The front-line personnel work very hard. I want to reveal what they are like at work with my writings so that more people can get to know how hard they have worked,” said Wang Li, a bailiff with the People’s Procuratorate Tongxiang of Zhejiang, who has not only done his duty well but also has depicted detailed anti-epidemic work in many cartoons to encourage the personnel working in the front line.

Many people indicated that the creation of cartoon works is very different from what has been done before. The creators have been thinking a lot about how they could better express their feelings through cartoons.

Till now, over 1,300 cartoon works have been created. Several hundred works have been pushed via national and provincial network platforms.
