Registration For Walking the Grand Canal 2019 Opens

To celebrity the 70th anniversary of the founding of the PRC, “Walking the Grand Canal 2019——Get Healthy” will be held in Hangzhou scenic area of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal on October 13.

Hundreds of Hangzhou residents will join the tour to express their love for a better life and their best wishes for the motherland.

The walking tour has always been one of the most popular events for Hangzhou residents. In this October, a health ambassador will also be invited to lead the participants walk by the canal. 

The tour is divided into two routes: the land health journey and the water health journey. The former starts from the canal world, passes the Qiaoxi historical and cultural block, the Xiaohe historical and cultural block, and finally reaches the Langlang art world in Hangzhou, which is the final destination of the Dadao road historical and cultural block. The whole journey is 4.88 kilometers by foot. 

The water health journey starts from the canal world, passes through three historical and cultural blocks, takes a boat at Xiangji temple pier and arrives at the terminal Qiaoxi local specialty pier.

The registration for the event has started. Citizens who are interested may register through the WeChat public account or scan the code of the WeChat public account of the "Beijing-Hangzhou grand canal hangzhou scenic area".
