Dream Town[Photo/Xinhua] Hangzhou, capital of Zhejiang province, recently issued the blueprints of a plan to promote high-quality development of innovation and entrepreneurship -- in an effort to make the city become a magnet for global entrepreneurs and startups, local media reported on Sept 14. According to the initiative, Hangzhou will build an alliance on towns featuring innovation and entrepreneurship and strive to advance coordination and resources sharing between them. Meanwhile, the city will deepen cooperation with neighboring cities in the Yangtze River Delta region and jointly establish Dream Town -- Hangzhou's entrepreneurial cluster -- with Shanghai and Hefei, in order to drive the integrated development of the YRD. Officials said that it is expected that by 2022, Hangzhou will be home to 7,000 national high-tech enterprises, with the added value of high-tech industries accounting for 60 percent of the total added value of industries above a designated scale. |
