ISLAMABAD, March 26 (Xinhua) -- Pakistan has introduced a new civil aviation policy in order to facilitate and benefit tourists and boost the country's aviation industry, Information Minister Fawad Chaudhry said on Tuesday.

Addressing a media briefing here after a federal cabinet meeting, Chaudhry said taxes and related charges have been reduced to zero for aviation services using a maximum of 40-seater airplanes for carrying people to areas of tourist interest.

He said e-visa facility was being provided to five countries including China, Britain, Turkey, Malaysia and the United Arab Emirates, adding that next month, 170 other countries and regions will be given e-visa facility, while people from 58 countries and regions can get visa on arrival at the airport.

He said the Pakistani Interior Ministry in a notification issued earlier in the day has ended its regime of acquiring No-Objection Certificate (NOC) for foreign tourists. "Foreigners will no more need to have NOC to move in the country," he added.
