The opening ceremony of the 2^nd West Lake Documentary Festival (IDF) was held yesterday while Shanghai International Film Festival is still undergoing.

The 1^st IDF held by China Academy of Art in 2017 took shape as an international documentary festival and was high praised worldwide.

The organizing committee will invite professional Chinese and overseas documentary makers, cultural scholars and industrial investors to form an international jury to conduct final assessment to the finalists.
