From July 1st, ending of Meiyu, till now, the high and dry weather has last for the period without a stop for even one day. And it brought a big threat to the Longjing tea garden.

According to a rough estimate, up to July 31th, only in the West Lake Street area the tea garden under drought is over a thousand mu. Part of the leaves and branches of tea trees appeared in withered and yellow and dry.

So it is almost a foregone conclusion that the production of West lake Longjing tea will decrease next year. But it is still too early to forecast the specific amount of the decreasing production and the price of the tea.
