BEIJING, May 15 (Xinhua) -- Top Chinese legislator Wu Bangguo departed Tuesday morning for official goodwill visits to the Netherlands, Croatia, Luxembourg and Spain.

    Wu, chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, is visiting the respective countries at the invitation of presidents of Dutch First and Second Chamber of parliament, Fred de Graaf and Gerdi Verbeet, Speaker of the Croatian Parliament Boris Sprem, President of the Chamber of Deputies of Luxembourg Laurent Mosar, and President of the Spanish Congress Jesus Posada.

    Wu's entourage includes his wife Zhang Ruizhen and Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the NPC Standing Committee Li Jianguo.
