   After the World Heritage Application Text past the preliminary examination of World Heritage Centre,on the end of this August or September,the Westlake will encounter the more stringent test——receiving the site assessment inspection from the experts of the World Heritage Centre.

According to the arrangement of World Heritage Centre,the experts will stay at Hangzhou for 3-5 days and they will see all applying points in principle.

Yesterday,the West Lake Scenic Area Management Committee and Architectural History Department of China Architecture Design and Research Institute reported the related information of Westlake applying for World Heritage.

The application scope of Westlake applying for World Heritage consists of the six major landscape elements which outstand the universal value and by the core elements of the top 10 scenic spots of Westlake’s full perspective spatial extent as well as combining the terrain which can be clearly identified to mark off the borders.It covers the areas of 4235.76 acres.

The six landscape elements refer to Westlake Nature Landscape (Outside Lake, small South Lake, Xili Lake, Yue Lake, North Lake five waters of Northli Lake and the three hills of north, west, south),the spatial characteristics of urban lake(facing cloud in three sides and facing city in one side),the landscape of “two banks and three islands”, the title landscape of the top 10 scenic spots of Westlake(like the famous scenic spots of Melting Snow Scene on the Broken Bridge, Autumn Moon over the Calm Lake and Orioles Singing in the Willows), West Lake Culture Historic Heritage(Including the 14 historical sites of Baochu Pagoda, Leifeng Pagoda, Pagoda of Six Harmonies, Jingci Temple, Linying Temple, klippe statues,Tomb of Yue Fei (Temple), Wen Lan House, Baopu TaoTemple, Qiantang Gate Heritage Site, Qing Summer Palace Ruins, Maizuru Fu Stele and Lin Bu Tomb, Xiling Seal Society , Longjing), characteristic plants of Westlake(the "Peach Blossom white willow" landscape of the both banks of Westlake and the four seasons flowers of the peach in spring,the lotus in summer,the osmanthus in fall and the plum in winter as well as the Longjing Tea Garden and its landscape which are distributed in the mountains of Westlake and carry the Chinese tea and Zen culture’s important value)
