For the preparation of the first Floor Board Expo which will be opened on August 27, a piece of the world's rarest natural Brazillian Rosewood by the special permission of the Brazillian Government, experienced vagrancy for a month in the Pacific Ocean, finally arrived at Hangzhou City yesterday morning.
Rosewood is "Panda Grade" amongst the trees in the virgin forest for its rarity. The raw Brazillian Rosewood was very big thus needed two to three adults to carry and surround it according to the sights of reporters. One wood expert said that, it was very rare and hard to estimate its value because it has been growing up in the virgin forest for at least 1000 years by annual ring calculation.
According to the introduction of the sponsoring unit, Hangzhou will welcome a large batch of rare foreign wood materials in the future.
