The Qiantang Livestreaming E-commerce League was established at Qiantang Intelligence City in Jianggan district, Hangzhou, capital of East China's Zhejiang province, on Sept 29. The league will help build supply chains, introduce quality brands and integrate industrial resources to propel the development of the livestreaming e-commerce industry. Qiantang Intelligence City aims to become China's top livestreaming e-commerce city. It is currently home to 10 industrial parks specializing in the incubation of livestreaming e-commerce companies as well as five of the top 100 multichannel network (MCN) institutes in China. The league currently has 55 member companies and institutes, and the league's secretariat was set up at the Qizhang Garden Livestreaming E-commerce Base. The league will set aside 10 million yuan ($1.49 million) to support the training of livestreamers. Several government departments have joined hands to regulate the livestreaming industry and safeguard the rights of livestreamers. |
