China's largest beverage producer Hangzhou Wahaha Group Co has launched a new enterprise specializing in intelligent robots as part of a business overhaul, local media reported on April 1.
Established on March 27 with a registered capital of 40 million yuan ($6 million), the new enterprise will focus on the research, development, manufacturing and sales of intelligent robots, robotics equipment and other products. The company will also work on the development, production and sales of artificial intelligence equipment and solutions, said an official from Wahaha, adding that the group has amassed a pool of talents and technologies and is competitive in terms of providing customized services and systematic solutions over the years. With the combination of intelligent technology and traditional industry becoming a major trend, Wahaha is sparing no effort in establishing scientific research and production institutions committed to intelligent beverages and equipment. It has developed industrial robots which are used for packaging, palletizing and production material delivery. In addition to beverages, the company will begin developing intelligent manufacturing capabilities in order to promote business transformation and upgrading, said Zong Qinghou, founder and chairman of Wahaha Group in an interview in 2016. |
