With a new round of emerging science and technology and industry innovation, digital economy has catapulted itself to Hangzhou’s newest card. News came from Hangzhou Statistical Bureau late of October that the first 3 quarters saw 967.3 billion yuan in GDP, a year-on-year gain by 7.3%, which indicated economic growth of the city was at high-speed development. Particularly, digital economy stood out. Statistics showed that key sectors in the said field gained 222.4 more billion yuan in the first 3 quarters; rise by 15% shared 23% of GDP, overtaking GDP by 7.7 percentage points. |
