According to White Book of the Digital Economic Index of Chinese Cities (2018), Hangzhou ranks sixth among 100 Chinese cities in the assessment score of digital economy, making it a leader in the field.

Hangzhou has made great efforts to develop Internet-centered information economy for many years. Now the city has put forward a higher requirement to upgrade the information economy and develop the digital economy, so as to plant Internet gene in real economy and provide practice and experience for “in-depth industrial integration”.
