A river-crossing tunnel, named as Youth Road River-Crossing Tunnel, is planned to be built over Qiantang River. The construction project proposal was approved by Zhejiang Provincial Development and Reform Commission in June 2014, and the project is now under pre-planning.

    If everything goes well and the project successfully passes future assessment, this tunnel will become the most convenient passage among Hangzhou CBD, Qianjiang Century City and Olympic and International Expo Center. It will greatly shorten trip time and distance, lowering trip cost.
