Approaching the end of the year, Hangzhou once again became the focus of China. On the lists of "2009 China's top 500 competitive enterprise groups " and "2009 China's top 1000 large enterprise groups ", Hangzhou was the biggest winner. The number of enterprises listed on the two lists ranked the first among China's large and medium-sided cities and 15 sub-provincial cities. Hangzhou's case of cultivating large enterprise groups was recognized by the authority of the state statistical agencies.
