French mechanical engineer and vlogger Thibaut Grzelak fell in love with China's strong culture, rich gastronomy and welcoming people during his first visit in 2018. Today, he lives in east China's Hangzhou City.

Thibaut thinks that Mandarin is a beautiful language and Chinese characters are a powerful symbol of Chinese culture, giving a piece of history and window into ancient times. Meanwhile, he appreciates the many touching moments he has had with Chinese people, even the brief encounters such as a fisherman by a lake explaining his technique, a seller offering a fruit that he has never tried before or children from the neighborhood inviting him to play ping pong. 

As this year marks the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between China and France, Thibaut hopes for continued collaboration, joint projects and associations promoting the friendship between the two countries.
