Alessandro Dario is an R&D Manager at an Italian mold research and development enterprise in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province. He came to Hangzhou from Italy with his wife in 2010.  

"I read Marco Polo's travelogue about Hangzhou when I was a child. The book said that Hangzhou is the most beautiful and luxurious city in the world, and I have always wanted to come and see it," Alessandro said. He is excited when talking about his impression of Hangzhou.

Through the years, he witnessed the development of Hangzhou. 

"When I first came here, the surrounding area was quite desolate, but soon, tall buildings, subways and shopping malls were settled in Qiantang district," he said.

Besides business, Alessandro also lives a fulfilling life in Hangzhou. The international community he lived in often held cultural activities, such as practicing Tai Chi, traditional calligraphy and so on.

"Hangzhou is my second hometown, and I will take root here and create a brilliant future," said Alessandro.
