A total of 125 students and teachers from VIVES University of Applied Sciences in Belgium visited Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, for a study tour from March 18 to 20.

They experienced local culture, geography and landscape by visiting the West Lake and Deshou Palace. They also visited Hangzhou Normal University and experienced traditional Chinese culture such as martial arts and calligraphy.

2024 marks the 24th anniversary of partnership between Zhejiang province and Belgium's West Flanders province. Carl Decaluwé, governor of West Flanders, said that the long friendship between the two provinces required enhanced communication and mutual understanding among the youth.
