A group of children from Hangzhou in East China's Zhejiang province attended a celebration for the traditional Lantern Festival as well as the beginning of the 200-day countdown to the 19th Asian Games on Feb 12.
The youngsters solved many Asian Games-themed riddles, a centuries-old Lantern Festival tradition of Chinese people, and also participated in chuiwan and touhu, two ancient sports, with the former described as "Chinese golf" and the latter requiring players to throw arrows into wine pitches.

More than 40 children also shared their excitement for the Hangzhou Asian Games via a variety of singing, dancing, and recitation performances.
"The Asian Games is just around the corner and we shared our excitement for the big event in our own way," said a child.
"The Asian Games has once again brought Hangzhou into the global spotlight and I was glad to take part in this meaningful activity with my daughter, exploring the city's rich cultural deposits," said one girl's mother.
