The Hangzhou authorities for market regulation have been strengthening their efforts to regulate the use of the copyright for the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympics.

Officials from the Hangzhou Market Regulation Bureau said that Olympic symbols are the most important intellectual property of the Olympics.

According to the bureau, several companies in Hangzhou have been punished for printing Olympic symbols on their products without receiving authorization.

Officials from the bureau also noted that customers should check the license of franchised dealers before buying Olympic products at a shop.

Since the beginning of 2021, the Hangzhou authorities have conducted 59 operations and tackled 72 infringements.
