Hikvision, a leading Chinese video security enterprise based in Hangzhou, Zhejiang province, was named the provider of internet of things and big data services for the 19th Asian Games and 4th Asian Para Games on Jan 18.
Hikvision's products and solutions are sold in 155 countries and regions across the world and have been used in major events such as the G20 Hangzhou Summit, the 2008 Beijing Olympics, the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, and the 14th National Games of China.
Hu Yangzhong, CEO of Hikvision, said the enterprise will infuse more scientific and technological momentum into the Asian Games by providing athletes, spectators, volunteers and organizers with high-quality services in intelligent command, security check, and traffic scheduling.
Husain Al Musallam, director-general of the Olympic Council of Asia, wrote in his congratulatory letter: "We are moving towards a more digital and intelligent future, where technology is having a positive impact on all areas of society and daily life. We believe that with Hikvision's support, the Hangzhou Asian Games Organizing Committee and all athletes will work together to create a safer, smarter and more successful Asian Games."
Hikvision is also a part of the "Football Dream of Asian Games" charity project, which will see the company boost the development of youth football and support the footballing dreams of teenagers from 10 schools in Asia.
