A press conference was held at Hangzhou Olympic Sports Centre by Hangzhou Marathon Organising Committee on the afternoon of September 23, announcing that 2021 Hangzhou Marathon will kick off at Huanglong Sports Centre at 7:30 am, November 7. The competition has returned to normality this year and the number of participants has increased to 40,000. It consists of full marathon, half marathon, health run, couple run, family run, etc. 2021 Hangzhou Marathon also plays the role of test events and trials for next year’s Hangzhou Asian Games. Marathon enthusiasts who achieve good results will be qualified as a mass group member to attend next year’s Asian Games marathon competition.
