Citizens and tourists remained a strong desire to take a vacation in spite of the rain during the Dragon Boat Festival. Hangzhou received 2,127,300 non-indigenous visits – 709,100 visitors daily – during the holiday, up 1.3% compared to 2019 and 69.4% compared to 2020. The peak time appeared early on the first day of the holiday, with scenic areas/spots and cultural venues in Hangzhou receiving 767,000 non-indigenous visits. An obvious rise appeared in remote customer markets like Chengdu, Beijing, Chongqing, Xi’an and Shenzhen.
