A crop-basking festival recently kicked off at the Xinye Ancient Village in Daciyan Town of Hangzhou’s Jiande County as autumn started. Villagers put popcorns, pumpkins, peppers, chestnuts, and other harvested crops with various colors across the village.
With different patterns formed by these colorful agricultural products throughout the village, the lanes have also been turned into the “popcorn lane,” “pepper lane,” and “lotus land.” The unique seasonal sceneries have attracted a number of visitors.
This year’s autumn basking season features a series of events such as creative bazaars, popular sites punching, tourism walking trial, time-travel photoshop, and rainbow slideway.
The Xinye Village is an ancient village of over 800 years' history. Hailed as the open-air museum for the architecture of China’s Ming Dynasty and Qing Dynasty, 16 ancestral temples, halls, towers, temples, and over 200 ancient houses are well-preserved there.
