The 2020 Luniao Pear Blossom Festival was unveiled on March 21 at Luniao Town of Hangzhou's Yuhang District.

Luniao Town is known as "the hometown of honey pear" with the pear-culture over a century old. Nearly 10 thousand mu(1647.36acres) of pear trees were planted in the town, making it a famous place to relish the beauty of flowers.

Themed with “to meet Luniao,” this year's pear blossom festival consists of a series of interactive activities, including an outdoor party in the pear garden, band performance, 3D doodles, to name a few.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, this year, a livestream program was applied during the festival. Influencers will have a trip to the pear garden while netizens can watch and appreciate the blossoms in the cloud. 

Selling honey pears is a significant source of income for local farmers in Luniao Town. The town has a yearly yield of honey pear of over 10 thousand tons.
