Hangzhou in Zhejiang province will host one round of the second FIFA Women's Champions Cup on Oct 25, with Asian champions Naegohyang Women's FC of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea facing Auckland United FC of New Zealand, the defending Oceania champions, at 3 pm at Shangcheng Sports Center Stadium.

The tournament is the first global women's club competition to bring together champions from all six continental confederations. The winner of the opening-round match will face Africa's champions in the second round for a place in the semifinals. The final stage will take place in Miami, the United States, in January 2027, featuring leading clubs including FC Barcelona and Club America.

According to the Zhejiang Football Association, Hangzhou was selected for its international transport links, stadium facilities, and experience hosting major sporting events. The match will also help the city prepare for upcoming AFC U20 tournaments in 2027 and 2028.

Zhejiang has hosted several international soccer events in recent years, including World Cup qualifiers. The upcoming match will provide another opportunity to test Hangzhou's event organization and operational capabilities.
