This spring, the event Unveiling the Wardrobe of the Southern Song Dynasty brings together two noble figures from eight centuries ago: Zhao Boyun and Huang Sheng.
Huang was a young noblewoman from the Southern Song Dynasty (1127–1279), cherished by her family and buried with more than 350 pieces of exquisite silk garments. The images here showcase her breathtaking collection — including a robe so delicate it fits inside a matchbox.
