The New Year lighting ceremony for the Dadou Road Historic and Cultural Block in Hangzhou kicked off on the evening of Jan 17.

Accompanied by vibrant lion dance performances, the main street and 11 surrounding themed check-in spots were illuminated simultaneously. The warm glow and stark shadows accented the ancient street's traditional charm, bringing the first taste of romance and good fortune for the Year of the Horse and Spring Festival to residents and tourists alike.
