Hangzhou New Year Blessing & Good Fortune Festival kicked off on January 1, 2026. Many Chinese and foreign friends walk along the Grand Canal of China (Hangzhou Section), with the pronunciation similar to "good fortune", praying for the New Year.

A young man from France said: "There are also New Year celebrations on the banks of Seine River in my hometown of Paris, but the activities in Hangzhou are novel and exciting."

This route is 52 km long, connecting the historical landmarks, art parks and residential areas.
