In order to promote the development of football, Zhejiang will incorporate football into the physical education options for the senior high school entrance examinations across the province from January 5, 2026 to the end of 2030.

Football is included in the physical education class of the primary and middle schools. It is required that, the proportion of football classes in each academic year should not be less than one third. Zhejiang opens the admission channel from primary schools to universities, relaxing the enrollment scope for football talents.
