On December 8, the Expert Symposium on the Future Development of the United Nations Global Hub on Big Data and Data Science for Official Statistics (UNBDC) was held in Hangzhou, with the inauguration of the Joint Laboratory for Data Science, promoting the innovative application of global big data and data science for official statistics.

Scientific decision-making relies on precise statistical data. As the first cooperation institution of the United Nations in Zhejiang, UNBDC focuses on fields, such as agricultural remote sensing and digital economy, takes the lead in developing the international standards, boosts the technology sharing, and provides the Chinese Approach for the modernization of the global statistical system.
