Cross-city concert attendees gradually become tourists, which is nothing new. However, this year, many domestic and foreign singers choose Hangzhou as the "first stop"of their tours, which further strengthens this trend.
Hangzhou held 22 large-scale concerts in November. Among them, Katy Perry, an international singer, selects Hangzhou as the first stop of her tour in China, and the proportion of cross-city concert attendees reaches 76.4 percent, driving a surge in hotel orders.
At present, Hangzhou's concert economy index rises to the third place in China. The ratio of concert box office revenue to surrounding consumption is 1:6. The itinerary of singers is deeply combined with the promotion of culture & tourism, to amplify the multiplier effect of concerts on culture & tourism industry.
