On August 29, Hangzhou launched the upgraded the departure tax refund service called "one-click tax refund" for international tourists. By the end of the year, it is expected to cover all the departure tax refund stores characterized by "refunding upon purchasing" in Hangzhou.

This service boasts three highlights: efficient process to shorten the fastest tax refund handling time from twenty minutes to two minutes, invoicing upon payment, and open system compatible with various payment methods including cash, credit card, and WeChat Pay.

At present, Hangzhou boasts 267 departure tax refund stores, with 124 stores featured by "refunding upon purchasing".
