The 2025 Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal CanoeMarathon Series (Hangzhou) & First Hangzhou Canoe Open Championshipskicked off at Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canal (Hangzhou Section) on June 28-29, attracting about 500 players aged 14-63.

The track starts from Wulinmen and ends at Gongchen Bridge. It passes through many ancient Bridges, showing the water transport culture of Hangzhou from the Southern Song Dynasty to the Qing Dynasty.

This year's event is held onthe main channel of Beijing-Hangzhou Grand Canalfor the first time, which innovatively integrates historical heritages and modern sports.

In addition to professional competition, the event adds paddleboarding and public experience activities, and attracts more people to participate in water sports.
