According to the statistical data of the customs, from January to May, 2025, the total import & export amount of Hangzhou's foreign trade is 341.92 billion yuan, with a year-on-year increase of 9.1 percent, accounting for 15.3 percent of the province's total foreign trade import & export amount.

The European Union continues to maintain its position as the largest trading partner of Hangzhou, with the import & export amount of 59.18 billion yuan, up 16.3 percent. The import & export amount of Hangzhou to theAssociation of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN)is 48.95 billion yuan, with a growth of 30.7 percent. The import & export amount of Hangzhou to the countries involved in the Belt and Road Initiative is 173.06 billion yuan, increasing by 14.1 percent.
